Christianity And Baby Boomers
Christian Baby Boomers Living Outside The Church
Millions of Baby Boomers in the United States have raised their families outside of the traditional Church body. Many haven?t been inside a Church since they were children and somehow justified this in their minds that they ?paid their dues? when they were children. I don?t know how man times I have heard, ?I believe in God and I am a Christian, I just don?t go to Church?, when talking with people of the Baby Boomer generation.
Face it, most of us were forced to go to Church as children because that?s what everyone did back in those days. You knew everyone in town because you saw them at Church every Sunday morning, and if you didn?t see them, you automatically knew that they were sick and a Church Deacon was sent out to check on them. Heck, we even prayed in school back in those days and knew we had better bow our head and pray or we would get in trouble.
We Baby Boomers grew up and decided that we didn?t want to live in the ?good old days? anymore, and we asserted our free will to live our own adult lives as we wanted. We raised our families and maybe taught our children to pray ?Now I lay me down to sleep? as small children but we probably didn?t continue to pray with them as they grew older because we were busy. Sure, we talked about Jesus to our children at Christmas and maybe at Easter, in between visits to the Easter bunny.
Be honest with yourself now, this didn?t work out so well for us did it? Did your children have the type of lifestyle that you had as a child? I doubt it. Are our grandchildren going to experience the type of lifestyle that we did? Definitely not! We have given a legacy of gangs, drugs, guns, Aids and many other evil related values to our own precious children. What in the world are they going to pass down to their children? This thought really scares me and I hope it scares you enough to take action!
We need to raise up and unite together in our families and our neighborhoods to try and bring Christianity back into the home. We need to make sure that our precious grandchildren have a bible and spend some time in God?s word. We need to share the story of Jesus, talk about all the miracles he performed, teach our younger generations the message of how much he loved all of us and how he was crucified for you and me.
God has promised all of us eternal life in heaven with him. Many of us believe that we will once again be reunited with our loved ones whom have gone before us. What?s going to happen, when those of us that are Baby Boomers, start crying and mourning because our own children and grandchildren aren?t uniting with us in heaven? Can you imagine how sad and disappointed God is going to be with us because we have created this new problem? God did not make heaven for there to be tears.
Bring Christianity back into your life, it?s never too late to ask Jesus to forgive you for how you have lived. If you ask for forgiveness He will forgive you and give you new life! Pray for the Salvation of your children and grandchildren. Lead by example and bring them to Church with you on Sundays but don?t let Sundays be the only time that you share Christianity or Religion with your precious family. Place your bible on your coffee table where it can be seen and used. A bible is not meant to be put away and forgotten about! If you?ve been saving it for the future to hand down, the future is here!

Unique Christian Gifts on a Budget
It is sometimes thought that getting the perfect Christian gift for your brothers and sisters in Christ is a difficult task, this might in fact hold true if we don't know where to look. Any gift given with sincerity and affection is always welcomed by others but when it comes to Christian themed gifts the last places we should start looking at are the the places we frequent the most. Why do we say that? for the same reason that you won't find bath accessories at a car shop, everyday stores carry several items which are useful to us but are not Christian themed, in other words we won't find a special Bibles, hats, towels, coffee mugs, pen, journals, with Christian themes at these stores.

The Dysfunctional Family of Jesus?
Now his parents went to Jerusalem every year at the Feast of the Passover. And when he was twelve years old, they went up according to custom. And when the feast was ended, as they were returning, the boy Jesus stayed behind in Jerusalem. His parents did not know it, but supposing him to be in the group they went a day's journey, but then they began to search for him among their relatives and acquaintances, and when they did not find him, they returned to Jerusalem, searching for him. After three days they found him in the temple, sitting among the teachers, listening to them and asking them questions. And all who heard him were amazed at his understanding and his answers. And when his parents saw him, they were astonished. And his mother s ...
